Besides, the health care setting is faced with many challenges that cause nurses to become stressed and experience job burnouts. In this vein, it is the responsibility of the nurse leaders to ensure that they empathize and show compassion to nursing employees in hectic situations whereby there is an aging patient population, patient acuity, and under-staffing coupled with the need to attain exemplary patient satisfaction ratings. Lastly, nurse leaders should reflect how much they value and trust in each nurse employee’s capacity to satisfy the objectives of the health care firm (Kroning, Carey, & Crawford-Rosso, 2020).
